1.
I made this from memory. Everything is a feeling.
2.
I am drawn towards familiar, identifiable (often "found") objects. Their existence is a form of collective memory- hauntings that remind us of certain memories, experiences, our past and present selves. These are my visual language- remnants and pieces that exist as reminders of their former visual selves. Every element is carefully selected and extracted from its original context. They are not only my memories, but also yours. The abstraction of these objects and images, eulogized by meticulous curation and (dis)placement, all together becoming a new archive, a new (dreamlike) reality.”
